Family & Friends

We provide support to families and friends of young people who are exploring, questioning their sexuality or who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and/or Transgender.

For some families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender young people, it can be difficult to understand your child’s sexuality or gender identity. This can leave you feeling confused and alone.

Talking it through with someone can be really helpful. We can offer you support while you explore your concerns and collect information on what it means for you and your family.

Family mediation

Open Doors also provides mediation services between family members to assist communication and provide support towards the resolution of any conflicts. Contact Open Doors for more information.
