Volunteers

Open Doors utilised volunteers with specialised skills to keep us running smoothly

We currently have volunteers who;

• Maintains our computers hardware and software
• Maintains our website
• Facilitate specific youth groups
• Graphic designs our flyers and promotional material

If you are interested in volunteering at Open Doors and have some skill that would be useful to our organisaiton, please email us your resume and a list of your skills and we will contact you to discuss the options.

Student Placements

There have been a number of students who have contributed time and energy into Open Doors since it’s beginnings.

Students are a valuable and important part of the work we do at Open Doors as not only do they provide support and activities to young people who access Open Doors, they also learn specialist skills in supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender young people and their families.

If you are a student studying social work, social science or another equivalent course and you are interested in a placement at Open Doors please contact us to discuss the options.

All students and volunteers must operate under the Open Doors Policy and Procedures, have, or the obility to obtain, a Blue Card for Child Related Employment.
