Queeriosity
QUEERIOSITY: the National Youth Week Queer Youth Festival was first held in April 2010 by Open Doors, Griffith University and QAHC, and due to its wonderful success will now be an annual event held every National Youth Week in April.
When: 12pm-1pm, Sunday the 18th of April, 2010
Where: Visible Ink Youth Space - 54 Berwick Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
Who: Queeriosity is a queer youth extravaganza of art, music, culture and community - created by, and for, sexually & gender diverse young people! The event is focused on engaging with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, GenderQueer, Queer, Questioning, Label Free & Same-Sex Attracted young people aged under 25…supported by the wider Queer community!
What:
As a free National Youth Week festival, Queeriosity is a celebration of the diversity of LGBTQI young people, under 25. This drug and alcohol free event will display some of the best queer & alternative talent Brisbane and beyond has to offer, with a smorgasbord of artistic and musically gifted peeps parading their skills.
Queeriosity will present a broad array of performances and entertainment from across the artistic spectrum, including:
Live bands
DJs
Dance troupes
Drag shows
Cabaret 
Roving street theatre
Interactive arts workshops/demonstrations
+ much, much more!
In addition to this, a marketplace of community stalls and information booths will be on display, enabling local queer/queer-friendly businesses, organisations and services the opportunity to makes themselves known to all attendees.
And, if your taste buds require further tantalising… a free meat/vegetarian BBQ feast will also be on offer to all, with soft-drink beverages available throughout the day.
Cost: FREE!
As a safe space, Queeriosity is a drug, alcohol & discrimination-free zone.
