Social Groups

Open Doors Youth Service offers many different social, support, and educational groups and workshops for LGBTIQ+ young people aged 12 to 24.

Groups at Open Doors Youth Service are a supportive and inclusive space where you can:

  • Make connections, meet new people and make friends
  • Learn about and have in depth discussions about things that are relevant to the lives of LGBTIQ+ young people.
  • Explore who you are in a safe and supportive space
  • Find out about services and support for LGBTIQ+ people
  • Play games, do fun activities and learn new skills
  • Hear from special guest speakers and panel discussions

Regular Groups at Open Doors

Open Doors Youth Service runs a number of groups for LGBTIQ+ young people each week. Our current groups include:

  • Rainbow Frogs: For LGBTIQ+ young people aged 12 to 18
  • Young & Proud: For LGBTIQ+ young people aged 16 to 24
  • Jellybeans: For transgender, gender diverse and non-binary young people aged 12 to 24
  • Multicultural Pride: For young people from a culturally diverse or multicultural background aged 12 to 24
  • The Fem Society: For Trans Femme and gender questioning young people aged 12 to 24
  • Creative Therapy Group: For LGBTIQ+ young people aged 12 to 24

To attend groups, you need to be a client of Open Doors. To become a client please complete our online referral form.
