Trans Day of Visibility

International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is an annual event held on 31 March to celebrate trans pride and awareness, recognising trans and gender diverse experiences and achievements.
To celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility 2023, Open Doors Youth Service is looking to receive donations to help support young people access gender-affirming items. Transgender Day of Visibility is a day dedicated to the celebration of Trans and Gender Non Conforming people and their achievements, while simultaneously raising awareness of the work that remains for Trans justice in Australia and worldwide.

Gender-affirming items play an important role in supporting trans, gender diverse and non-binary people to live as their gender, feel comfortable and safe, and in many cases- to be recognised in the way that they want and need by society. This can look different for every person. Gender and social-affirming items are imperative to better mental health outcomes for trans, gender-diverse and non-binary people- however, access to these items can be limited due to transphobia, lack of autonomy and financial barriers.

By donating to Open Doors Youth Service, you will be directly providing gender-affirming products to young people such as:
  • TOILETRIES
  • BINDERS
  • PACKERS
  • BREAST FORMS
  • BRAS
  • TUCKING UNDERWEAR
  • HAIRCUTS
  • MAKEUP
  • CLOTHING
Please support our page by sharing and donating if you can.

We would love to reach our goal by March 31st in Celebration of Transgender Day of Visibility. Every little bit counts towards helping young people achieve gender euphoria and living their best lives.
